Via MOJ, Dick Cheney wants answers:
Cheney said he has “formally asked” for the declassification of documents he says would “lay out what we learned through the interrogation process and what the consequences were for the country.”
Well, I learned that our leaders are amoral and willing to resort to brutal means to maintain their power, and, even in an environment of general panic and danger, they found it necessary to be dishonest about what they were doing. Leaders are not to be trusted.
The consequneces for the country include a great loss in moral authority, and adding to a general anger that may lead to more terrorists.
Something tells me those aren’t the answers he was looking for.
