Would Radiohead’s success spell the end of DRM?

Some commentators seem to beleive that if Radiohead’s “pay whatever you want” model for their new album is successful, it spells the end of DRM.  I’m unconvinced.

It seems that for this instance, there will be a lot of people motivated to prove that this model can work, and thus be willing to pay more than they otherwise would.

Which makes this a good move for Radiohead, since they get to take advantage of those.  But I’m not sure it could be replicated across the board.

I think DRM is doomed anyway, but not by this.
